Before Placing a Bid
Condition reports
We offer condition reports on all lots upon request and strongly recommend obtaining one before bidding. Please remember it is the buyer’s responsibility to satisfy themselves with the condition of the lot. Further images can be provided upon request, and you are welcome to view the items on our viewing day.
Registration
Buyers need to register before bidding. This can be done through Easyliveauction.com, through our website or in person at our office prior to the auction.
Buyer’s Premium
A buyer’s premium of 24% (including VAT) is payable in addition to the hammer price. For example, if the bid price is £100, it will cost you £124.00 (this includes buyer’s premium and VAT).
Ways to Bid
In-Room Bidding
Our auction is open for in-room bidding, and we welcome you to join us on auction days from 8:45am, with the auction starting at 9:00am. Simply pop into the office, and one of our friendly team will be happy to register you and get your paddle ready.
Internet Bidding
Our auctions are streamed live online through Easy Live Auction, attracting buyers from all over the world. With real-time video and audio, the auction can be experienced 'as it happens' both from the comfort of your own home or via your smartphone anywhere in the world (provided you have a good internet connection!).
Please note that online bidding incurs an Internet Surcharge of 3% of the hammer price + VAT if you register for free. Alternatively, a flat fee option including VAT, is available. This is payable to Easy Live Auction, regardless of whether you place a bid.
Commission Bid
If you’re unable to attend the auction, you are welcome to leave a commission bid with us and the auctioneer will bid on your behalf, up to your specified limit.
Telephone Bids
We offer telephone bidding on any lot that's valued at £100.00 or above. If you wish to place a telephone bid, please let us know in advance, and we will arrange for one of our team members to call you during the auction.
After Bidding
Payment
Although we no longer accept cash or cheque payments, we accept all major credit/debit cards, (except American Express) or bank transfers.
Collection
All items must be paid for and collected by 5pm on the Tuesday following the auction, after which the Buyer’s Premium is increased to 22% plus VAT and storage charges will apply. Our team will be available both days to assist you with loading any items that you've won.
